White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders absolutely annihilated James Comey, as per usual, saying that “The American people see right through the blatant lies of a self-admitted leaker.”
Her remarks were in response to Comey’s new book, “A Higher Loyalty,” which contains damning information and ample anecdotes about President Donald Trump.
Calling Comey’s press tour a “poorly-executed PR stunt” and saying that “A Higher Loyalty,” “belongs in the bargain bin,” Sanders attempted to deflect from the information that’s surfaced in light of Comey’s book release.
Some of the aforementioned scandals involve additional insights on “pee gate,” along with assertions that President Trump runs his administration like a mob boss and that the Commander in Chief is absolutely unfit to be president.
Of course, Sanders was having none of that. During the briefing, the press secretary also said:
“Comey will be forever known as a disgraced partisan hack that broke his sacred trust with the President of the United States, the dedicated agents of the FBI, and the American people he vowed to faithfully serve. One of the President’s greatest achievements will go down as firing Director Comey.”
President Trump apparently agrees, as earlier in the day he fired out a pair of tweets saying that it was his “great honor to fire James Comey!”
Sanders and Trump asserting that firing Comey will be a memorable and admirable part of President Trump’s legacy is rather alarming. Instead of being lauded about economic growth, lower unemployment rates, and better international relations the Trump administration prides itself in firing disgraced employees.
